Did anyone watch Nova tonight on the strange afterlife travels of Ramses I
It appears that the phararoh Ramses I ended up in an obscure Niagara Falls Museum.

It was a pretty well done Nova.

1. I thought I'd heard that story debunked not long ago.
Well, whatever, no skin off my back...

5. He was dead ...
... when they took his brain out.

We have a president that is ALIVE even after he took his own brain out by putting stuff IN his nose!

Actually, it was a very cool NOVA episode.

3. Yep. Amazing that the well preserved mummy of the pharoh who founded
the 19th dynasty was found in (of all places) Niagra Falls.

I was really surprised when Zari Hawas of the Cairo Museum said that he thought there was a good probability of it being Ramses I.

Great move by the museum here in the US (I can't believe I've already forgotten which one, but one associated with a southern college I believe) to give back the mummy to the Egyptian government. That showed class and style.

Now if only the British will return the Elgin marbles.

6. I agree. It was a wonderful gesture.
It was the Emory University Museum.

4. This type of stuff has always fascinated me so I watched and enjoyed it.
It was especially interesting since way back when I was on my honeymoon with a now X we went to the Museum. I loved all the Eygptian items and remember the mummies. I hadn't realized that the museum and then the Eygptian items had been sold. It's nice that he is back home in Eygpt.
