Online coaching for women in science and engineering
How Can a Coach Help You?
Find Out by Attending a Free Informational Tele-forum

As a woman in the field of science, technology, engineering or math we know that you face career and work-life balance challenges every single day. That's why we've developed a one-of-a-kind professional coaching program just for you. Whether you want to advance in your career, find a new job, improve your effectiveness and productivity, enhance your leadership skills, strengthen your confidence or increase your satisfaction with your life and work, a coach can help.

Observe a live coaching demonstration and find out what the AWIS Coaching Program can offer you by participating in one of our informational tele-forums (see dates and times below). For more information about the coaching program and our coaching team, visit www.awiscoaching.org or call Pam Williams at 727-393-2341.

Opportunity #1: Individual Coaching Informational Tele-forums

Date & Time: 6/17/08, 11:00 - 11:45 AM EST (Marlanda English)

Who Should Attend:

AWIS members who are interested in learning more about individual coaching opportunities and who want to observe a live coaching demonstration

Lead Coach: Susan Morris, M.Ed. CPCC, ACC or Marlanda English, Ph.D.

Individual coaching is a one-on-one interaction that focuses on where you are right now and what you are willing to do to get where you want to be. You choose the focus of each conversation while your coach listens, asks questions and shares observations designed to create clarity and focus and move you into action.

Opportunity #2: Leadership Coaching Group Informational Tele-forums

Dates & Times: 6/19/2008, 9:30 - 10:15 AM EST

Who Should Attend:

Female leaders in science, mathematics, engineering and technology who want to learn more about the leadership coaching group and experience group coaching

Lead Coach: Judy Feld, CMC, MCC, MS, MAS

Group coaching via teleconference is convenient, affordable, and independent of the geographic location of the participants and the coach. You can call from anywhere, and return to your busy schedule immediately after the one-hour call. There are no travel expenses. The leadership coaching group employs a workshop format in a semi-monthly 60-minute interactive telephone conference call. During a typical meeting you will receive insight, information, feedback, coaching, resources, tips, tools, techniques and valuable new ideas. Group coaching is interactive and dynamic, linking six to ten participants--in corporations, organizations, and/or associations who are geographically dispersed. Participants in the group benefit from the experience, insights, coaching approach and facilitation of the coach, and also receive the benefit of sharing ideas, best practices and wisdom with other group participants.

Opportunity #3: Career Transition Coaching Group Informational Tele-forums

Dates & Times: 6/19/2008, 12:00 - 12:45 PM EST

Who Should Attend:

Professional women in science, mathematics, engineering and technology who are engaged in or soon to be engaged in a career transition or job search and who want to learn more about the career transition coaching group

Lead Coach: Marlanda English, Ph.D.

Group coaching via teleconference is convenient, affordable, and independent of the geographic location of the participants and the coach. You can call from anywhere, and return to your busy schedule immediately after the one-hour call. There are no travel expenses. The career transition coaching group emphasizes career search skills and career planning and development skills, helping clients find the core/key/critical success actions for successful career transition. Career transition coaching participants are able to more quickly assess workplace and job search situations. The ability to quickly assess situations leads to better decision making and greater control of the career planning and development process. Career transition coaching moves clients to action faster and helps them take effective advantage of opportunities.
