See a Huge Moon Illusion Wednesday
As the full moon rises this Wednesday evening, June 18, many people will be tricked into thinking it's unusually large.

1. Dollars to donuts it'll be cloudy where I am. Weather god and moon god have been fighting
and I have been left with no view of full moon in months.

There may be pictures at spaceweather.com though. Lots of nice people upload great pics to that site.

2. Nice! I'll be on the look-out.

Here's a moon pic that I copied from the www. It's a moon of another planet in our system, and (it's thought) is smooth on one side and pocked on the other(far side in the pic) is from patterns of collisions from other bodies. A younger moon? Only bad thing is, I don't remember which planet is its host.

Nonetheless, thanks for the tip! I have sent the link to a friend who is getting married this week: the Solstice on the 21st.

:hi:

3. I'm going with Saturn's moon - Enceladus.
Just my guess. It seems to fit better than any other planet.

5. Be careful looking at the full moon!
Just as the moon and the sun are opposites in many ways, far from burning your eyes as you might if you look too long at the sun, you can freeze your eyes by looking too long at the moon when it's full!

Well, actually I made that up. Back to my fiddle practicing for me. ;-)

6. If It Is Just In Our Minds Then ...
...why can they also take a picture of it looking that size as in the picture in the article? Is it in the camera's "mind" as well????

Just kidding, I could not resist ...LOL!
