One of the hottest topics of conversation these days is, “Exactly what book (or books) did Sarah Palin want to ban in Wasilla?”
OK, to be fair, as far as I can tell she only asked the librarian for advice on how one would go about banning books, should one want to for some reason. This seems a bit like saying, “OK, I don’t intend to burn any witches. That would be wrong. But, assuming someone ever wanted to, hypothetically, what accelerant would you recommend?”
If everyone is talking about something, you can be sure it’s a hot topic on the internet. So, just in case anyone is googling words like “banned books” and “Sarah Palin” I can now reveal The Truth.
Sarah Palin wanted to burn (I mean “ban;” sorry about that) the book “There Are No Electrons: Electronics for Earthlings” by Kenn Amdahl, (who many consider a genius, and the biological father of all the books for Dummies and Idiots). But why would she want to ban that book, you ask? My information is still sketchy, but very reliable because I got it off the internet.
First, There Are No Electrons has a pretty girl on the cover in an absurdly low-cut dress. The woman, bathed in provocative red light, shows far too much skin for a library in Alaska. It’s a very popular book in prison libraries.
