Discovery reveals where dinosaurs originated -- South America when it was part of Pangea
Tawa hallae, a Triassic carnivorous dinosaur who lived 215 million years ago in South America is of a primitive precursor to Tyrannosaurus Rex. This 6.5 foot long carnivore has characteristics of birds and dinosaurs.

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/discoveries/2009-12-10-dinosaurs-south-america_N.htm

The earliest dinosaurs originated and diverged in what is now South America before trekking across the globe more than 220 million years ago when the continents were assembled into one gargantuan landmass called Pangea.

Nesbitt and his colleagues describe the dinosaur in the Dec. 11 issue of the journal Science. Their analyses suggest T. hallae lived some 213 million years ago and was a primitive theropod (mostly carnivorous dinosaur that walked on two legs). Like Velociraptor, the dinosaur was likely covered with feather-like structures and sported claws and serrated teeth for snagging prey.

"If you have continents splitting apart, you get isolation," Nesbitt said. "So when barriers develop, you would expect that multiple carnivorous dinosaurs in a region should represent a closely related endemic radiation. But that is what we don't see in early dinosaur evolution."

1. Pangaea is a myth
There is good evidence supporting Earth expansion which is incompatible with Pangaea theory.

The fact that all continents on Earth fit together thereby forming a smaller sphere cannot be coincidence. Even the Moon, Mars and other planets share the same surface pattern characteristics.

8. Where did all the extra mass come from to fill up the interior?
Or is the earth really hollow, à la Edgar Rice Burroughs?

10. Nuclear Reactions within Earth's molten core
If we consider huge dinosaurs and animals with large hind legs I believe it should be safe to speculate that our gravity was lower at the time.

Any species evolved from a low gravity environment will likely find hopping more efficient for travel. This is a possible explanation for the evolution of stronger hind legs in some animals. Low gravity also results in less stress on the body which may encourage more growth.

Based on the above observations a hollow core is simply impossible since an increasing gravitational field can only result from more mass. Where does the mass come from? very good question, indeed.

The short answer: Nuclear reactions in the core.

The long answer: We now know from experiments conducted by scientists and the United States Navy that low energy nuclear reactions are possible. Some refer to it as "cold fusion" or "LENR" or "CANR". The science behind such reactions is relatively new however they all share the same ingredients seen in the Earth's core. That is, molten metal(from reacted areas) and hydrogen/deuterium gas.

The current prevailing theory explains that a metal(like iron, nickel, palladium..) can absorb a hydrogen gas atom and confine it. It is a novel method to confine atoms close enough for fusion. Fusion results in transmutation of elements which can explain new elements that were not originally present.

Since Earth does not exist in a perfect vacuum, aren't such reactions likey to occur?

12. That's a good point.
The tallest living thing that ever existed is the sequoia, and they went extinct billions of years ago.

It seems to me that your theory is the most possible one, but if the expansion of the earth is caused by nuclear reactions, who built the nuclear reactors.

20. Um, it's well-known that the interior of the earth is completely filled with giraffes, so there's
not really enough room for nuclear reactions

I am not arguing against the existence of plate tectonics which is observable. Continental drift is another matter.

22. I want to comment on the Pangea myth thing but...
I guess I've been hopelessly programmed by the scientific establishment.

There's room on an expanding planet for conflicting opinions, though.

Seriously, you are certainly entitled to hold unconventional opinions, and sometimes unconventional opinions become conventional with time. But I don't predict that this one is going anywhere.
