'cause it will change within your lifetime. Greenland, Feb 28 2010

Interesting how there is only sea ice on the eastern side, and there is bare ground on the southwestern side. I don't know if this is related to the warm temps they have been having or the fluctuations in the Gulf Stream that were observed earlier this year...

4. I'm often reminded of the scene in Soylent Green when Edward G. Robinson goes
into the 'dome' to die, and requests his favorite color (orange), favorite music (classical -- LIGHT classical) and favorite time -- the 1970's.

Charlton Heston comes rushing in to stop him and comes to a screeching halt, gazing at the film of the '70's playing on the dome ceiling of horses running in fields with blue skies and fluffy white clouds, streams, fields of flowers blowing in the breeze, and says "I never knew, I never could have imagined..."

5. What should call Glacier Park these days?
When it was created, Glacier Park had around 150 glaciers. These days? Just 27.

8. Once the Greenland ice
melts just imagine the oil reserves geologists will find! Areas of Greenland could be as rich in oil as early 20th century Texas and Saudi Arabia.
