Anybody here fluent in Ocean Currents?

This is NE Australia, Coral Sea.
Notice the "blue" anomaly in the sea level panel 6 meters above sea level and note that it occurs over several days (chart at the bottom)
And on the currents panel, notice that the currents form a sort of whirlpool in the same area.

What might cause something like that?

1. First of all,

the level is calibrated in tenths of a meter. I would estimate it at four tenths of a meter. that's about 15 inches. although high, it could be an unusually warm bubble of water that is actually pushed up by the surrounding cold water. I've seen pictures of the Gulf stream on a calm sea and it actually sticks up about six inches from the surrounding cold water. Very cool.
