2. Well, I was going to say it's because the sun's not up...
But I hadn't figured on such an amazing answer!

Thank you...

RIP, Jack...

7. Shakespeare:
Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day?
Thou are more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And Summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd:
But thy eternal Summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st:
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

8. That explanation is so complex.
A simpler one is "God made it that way".
Simple, to the point, and a serviceable, multipurpose answer to oh so many questions.

It also takes a minimum of brain power to devise so leaving you with more time to read and re-read and re-read again, a cryptic, archaic translation of an old Greek book that was translated from several other old books in various ancient languages and edited through the years by various political forces with the aim to increase their personal wealth and power.
