8,000 year old human bones found in Argentina

Human skeletal remains dating back to around 8,270 years have been found near a lake in Argentina, scientists have said.

The remains were found together with the bones of guanacos from 7,000 years ago and ceramics between 1,500 and 2,300 years old on a lakeside beach in Venado Tuerto town in Santa Fe province, 375 km northwest of Buenos Aires.

Anthropologists from the National University of Rosario had made the find in 2003, when heavy flooding from the lake left the remains on the surface.

The remains were then sent to a laboratory in Arizona, US, that studied the bones and discovered that their antiquity was far greater than what the Argentine archaeologists had thought.

3. Not a problem.
You see, before the Flood, all that water was in the sky circling the earth, and it cut off the cosmic radiation that creates C14, so carbon dating only works back as far as the Flood. Anything from before the Flood looks spuriously old because secular scientists assume that the rate of cosmic radiation reaching the earth before the Flood was the same as after.

Anyway, that's what some Jehovah's Witness told me one time.

4. Holy crap!
The ocean was in the sky!

Was the sky in the place where the ocean was then?

Do those people ever get to third grade?

6. The sky separated the water above from the water below.
It's right there in Genesis 1. There was water above the Earth held back by the firmament. The oceans are the water below the firmament.

8. That's totally plausible.
Dates for occupation at Monte Verde are now widely accepted to be 14,800 years BP. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monte_Verde

It seems that humans were able to spread quite rapidly across the Western Hemisphere, even using the most conservative models of migration. 25,000 BP seems to be a reasonable over/under for our arrival here...
