MASSIVE Solar Explosion Flare Captured by NASA in HD
An extremely impressive solar flare was captured by NASA on February 24, 2011. This flare was captured in ultraviolet light and a false color of orange was given to the UV video. This eruption lasted for 90 minutes and this video represents those 90 minutes captured at 24 second intervals to give a smooth motion. This footage captured one of the most impressive solar prominences ever recorded by NASA.
