I just installed Google Earth 2 days ago and my mind is blown. I'm on a 28.8kbps dial-up connection (all that's available here <--my kmz), so when I first read that 128mbps broadband was required I didn't install it.
Of course, it's taken about 25 minutes to get even the 40km rez image of Gweni Fada in Chad, but hell it's still well worth it.

I can't believe there isn't more buzz about Google Earth. I've always wanted to own a globe, and now this. :)
