What's the best revenge? I'd really like to hold this woman down and
shave her head, even shave her eyebrows and eyelashes, cutting her not less than 6 times in the process, because, that's what she did to my doggie. I have a terrier, she claimed to be a groomer with 5 years experience. I brought her my dog in good faith, asked her for a "sanitary shave" and we all know which end of the dog gets the sanitary shave, but this stupid woman posing as a groomer didn't seem to know, she shaved his entire head, shaved his whiskers, cut his eyelid badly, cut him 6 times across his face, left not a hair on the poor dog's head. My dog usually is fluffy, looks like Benji. Now he is all cut up and looks like a bald dog who was dragged behind a truck. She even cut off the 3 inches of fur that hung from his ears. Yes, she even shaved his ears. But she cut him too. Maybe I can report her to some animal protection agency for cutting him? He required a trip to the vet after his grooming, where he received a shot of antibiotics, a shot of prednisone for the swelling, and a weeks worth of antibiotics by mouth. The dog is miserable, feels really betrayed, and won't be healed for about 2 weeks, won't be fully grown out in the fur for 6 months, and btw, she also didn't do the "sanitary shave" as the dog's bottom is the ONLY place she missed shaving! Revenge? Any ideas?

1. That's awful!
I have never had this happen, but I would first call her Monday morning and tell her what happened when you left. Ask her to pay the vet bill. If she refuses, let her know that you will be reporting her to the BBB,(I assume she is running a grooming business?), the ASPCA and hell even PETA, and that you will also be calling your lawyer who will be in touch with her about the bill. Hopefully, it won't require that.

I would also call all of the local vets and let them know what happened so they will tell their clients to stay away. Not sure if that would fall under slander/libel. Take pictures of your dog and ask the vet to write something up, just so you have it.

That is just AWFUL! Poor little puppy. I'm so sorry that happened..

2. I'd be getting a lawyer. Take photos and then contact a lawyer.
Anyone did that to my dog and I'd sue the pants off them.

4. yeah, i thought about suing her, but the grooming bill was only 29 and the
vet bill was only $65. So the total I could sue her for, unless I can prove my dog is a show dog, (which he is only in his little mind) I can only sue her for about $100, and that doesn't seem revenge enough. I mean, it would be easy, in small claims court, I didn't take pictures and it's starting to heal now, but, I am sure the vet records would bear out my case all by themselves. Still suing her doesn't seem enough revenge, because, then she can continue to practice this sort of "Rumsfeld" grooming on all the other dogs in town. I don't know, I guess nothing short of shaving her head will satisfy me. Maybe I will sue her for the $100, just because it's all I can do. I wonder if doggy will ever forgive me for abandoning him into the arms of someone who tortured him for the next hour and a half. Thanks for commisserating. Puppy is feeling a bit better now, and I will tell him everyday that it will never happen again.

3. W/out knowing the laws where you are
I'd contact whichever entity is responsible for enforcing the local animal cruelty laws. Where I live, a "groomer" that injured an animal numerous times, resulting in a vet visit would be cited for injuring that animal. They also do the inspections for pet stores and any other licensed animal enterprise, so they'd probably be all over her credentials and whatnot.

I'm also with RebelOne...seek legal counsel.

6. Shaving a cat's whiskers is the worst thing you can do.
That's like cutting someone's fingers off.

I hope you nail this woman to the wall...

7. Mother of God! I'd first take the dog to the vet.
Get your vet to make a list of the injuries. And get photos and hire a lawyer. I think you have a case. The lawyer should talk to your vet. This woman should NOT be grooming animals. I have both of my dogs groomed, and they sound a lot like yours. And this is one reason I have never taken them anyplace that someone I know and trust hasn't recommended. I've heard of mishaps, as well, but this is more than that. I'm so sorry, for both you and your pup!
