Funny meat-eater talking points.
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 04:59 PM by livinginphotographs

I thought I'd start compiling them just for fun.

#1 - You need meat to be healthy, vegans are sickly, etc.

#2 - How do we know that vegetables don't feel pain? (The stupidity of this one is mind-boggling)

#3 - What about animals killed when harvesting your grains and soybeans? (Had this one in a DU thread the other day)

#4 - Why focus on animals when humans are suffering?

Post your own. If your blood pressure can handle it!

1. Yup. Add also:
Check yer teeth. We were designed to eat meat.

If we stopped eating meat, what would we do with all the cows, pigs, etc.

I'm higher on the food chain/I'm smarter than they are.

My favorite of all, though, has to be:
They taste good.

3. Some more...
* If we aren't supposed to eat animals, how come they are made of meat? (This one ALWAYS boggles my mind - by that definition, we would eat humans, for crying out loud!)
* How do you get enough protein?
* I used to be a vegetarian, but had to go back when I started working out.
* The BIBLE tells us that the animals are ours to eat.
* Animals are stupid & deserve to be eaten.
* Humans need to eat meat for their health (from someone currently on cholesterol reducing meds as well as high blood pressure meds)
* I get my vegetables by eating animals that eat vegetables.
* Oh, I could never be a vegetarian, I don't like salad.

4. " I used to be a vegetarian, but had to go back"
that one is my favourite. I've been a vegetarian for two years and play soccer + track. I've never had problems!

6. What is even funnier about that one...
I've been weight training off & on for years, run nearly every day and have been training in Tae Kwon Do for 2 years now. I am *very* active & love working out - I train much harder than the idiots telling me THAT one - and I'm in much better condition than they were. LOL
