Thank you everyone for your Vegan book selections |
|
Here are the three books my husband chose from the list. I can't wait to start looking at the recipes and get cooking, but I'll have to pick something that doesn't require turning on the stove today. Wow, is it ever hot here!

My favorite hot-day meal - a nice green salad with all kinds of stuff (red cabbage, carrots, cucumber, various lettuces, spinach, etc.) and then I'll add some kidney or garbanzo beans to make it a bit more substantial. Yum, and there's no heat involved!
My kitchen is like a blast furnace in the summers, so I can relate. You picked some great books - enjoy! :hi:

2. Your salad sounds really good |

Thanks for the tip. I ended up making a platter of veggies (steamed fresh green beans, tomato wedges, boiled potato wedges, olives, red onion slices, canned garbanzo beans, canned artichokes and stuck a little bowl of pesto in the middle of the platter. That and a fresh baguette and extra virgin olive oil made up last night's dinner.
