If you would like another source for organic and vegan wines,
please PM me and include your email addy, and I'll email an attachment of this email and a pdf product brochure. These people are friends of mine and they have purchased a struggling health food business and are trying to make it work in south Texas. That isn't an easy task.

Healthy never Tasted so good

We're thrilled to bring you a world of wine, all in one intriguing and convenient portfolio. For 2005, we've had no trouble finding winemakers who share our same passion: Quality in the glass as a result of sustainable practices in the vineyard.

Our Vision: To bring the finest and most interesting vintages from small, artisan producers who embrace organic practices at each stage of production - from the vineyard to the table .... ideally, to your table.

On July 9, 2005 we introduced our collection with 11 offerings that you will see in the attached brochure. We have an additional 14 varietals in the approval process and will have them on our shelves soon. We are evaluating 44 additional offerings that would bring our 2005 collection to 69 wines from 11 countries.

Seven Reasons To Enjoy Organic Wines

1. Uncompromised Taste
Our finicky buyers hand select each varietal or blend and routinely visit the wineries to ensure quality in every glass. The days of organic food and beverages being "forgiven" for inferior quality or even appearance are long gone. And so it is with our refined selection of wines. No forgiveness is needed. When you taste, you'll believe.

2. Trust in every glass
All of our wines are made from 100 percent certified organic grapes for a reason: your trust. Harmful pesticides and chemical residues used in conventional viticulture can damage topsoil, pollute water, reduce wildlife habitat and biodiversity and, most importantly, pose a threat to your health. Instead of relying on a chemical "toolkit" to raising grapes our organic wineries use a sustainable approach:
no synthetic pesticides
no synthetic herbicides
no synthetic chemical fertilizers

Translation: none of the bad stuff, and all of the good stuff, as nature intended.

3. Real Value
Enjoy a full spectrum of wines from our 2005 collection - varietals, wines of origin, vintages - and stay within your budget. We have numerous accessibly priced wines from $9.99 Argentinean varietals to $14.99 European classics. All deliver on quality, as well. For variety, try mixed cases and half-cases where you can save 10 percent off the retail price.

4. Vegan Friendly
We offer many vegan wines, meaning no animal by-products, such as isinglass, casein, egg white or gelatin, have been used in the winemaking process. Instead, natural materials such as betonite clay, are used to "decloud" or "fine" a wine. Look for "Vegan" following our wine descriptions throughout our collection.

5. Low in Sulfites
Some wine drinkers are surprised to learn that sulfites exist naturally in all wines. Most vintners acknowledge the challenge of producing a wine that will store and age well by including at least some additional sulfites to those that occur naturally. Our producers believe in the traditional winemaking practice of adding low levels of sulfites during fermentation in order to stabilize and preserve the quality of the wine for a longer period of time. All of our wines are made with 100% certified organic grapes and are low in sulfites (less than 100 parts per million) as required by the United States Department of Agriculture's Organic Standards.

6. Wine Made by the Moon (Biodynamics)
Biodynamic farming embraces all the standards of organic viticulture but also adds other dimensions, including planting by lunar cycles, using special compost preparations and attempting self-sufficiency by bringing in as few amendments and supplies from outside the vineyard as possible. European producers have particularly embraced biodynamic practices in the vineyard. Look for "Biodynamic" following our wine descriptions throughout our collection.

7. Small Artisan Producers are Better.
Virtually all of our wineries are small family, estate-bottled vineyards; some have been growing grapes organically for generations. We believe that the fabric of our culture is enhanced by the diversity of our agriculture. Real families and individuals, not corporations, make our wines.
