Has being Veggie helped your PMS? |
|
I know it's supposed to. It has for me. But I think I sabotaged myself by eating chocolate pudding last night. :(
At least no migraine yet. That's my usual punishment.:banghead:

1. I don't think it has helped me over the years but I know |
|
that chocolate is one of my triggers for migraines :-( and so is red wine.

I can hardly drink at all. Maybe a few times a year I have a beer, but even then, if I time it wrong it can hurt me.

2. Well, it has helped my migraines tremendously. |
|
As a matter of fact, I can't remember the last time I had one, and I have suffered with them my entire life. So yes, it has helped in that sense! :)

I've had them since I was a child, but I didn't know what to call them for a loooong time.

I have been so bad that I couldn't get up off of the floor. I remember one super bowl Sunday, my husband panicked and rushed me to the ER b/c I had a migraine so bad I couldn't move.
They treated me like a junkie, too. I had never been to the ER for anything like that before, but as soon as I asked for a pain shot, I was treated terrible.

Sounds like we've got something majorly in common.
I've had them that bad too. You just want to die. Really, seriously want to die. The time I went to the ER they gave me pain shots in the butt -- which hurt like hell! I really, really hate those. x(
And they gave me too much of the drug, which made me pass out. I'm just a little squirt, not a 350 pound man.

8. Yes I know that feeling. |
|
I have been so bad I was crying, wishing someone would put me out of my misery, just kill me. Seriously. People that have never had a migraine don't understand that feeling. :(
I know just what you mean.

6. Not in the slightest... |

:(
I'm afraid there's nothing I can do to help that.

That's not fair.
Have you tried natural progesterone cream? You can get it over the counter.
It helps as long as you remember to keep using it. :hide:

10. I've tried a lot of different things... |

Haven't tried that cream, though. My policy is generally to warn anyone in a five mile vicinity that I may be a little "testy" from time to time.

Cutting out dairy helped with a myriad of physical complaints for me. When I stopped eating poultry it was even better.
Do what I do - keep some dark chocolate around so you always have a nice treat for those times you need it most, then you're not as tempted to eat something that might have an adverse effect. Here's hoping there's no migraine to come.

I have some migraine meds around just in case, but even they don't always knock it out. Then it's Vicodin time, actually.
How do you *keep* chocolate around? :D
I know I've been helped already by cutting out meat and dairy, and eggs. My periods were getting really heavy and long (about ten days) in the past year or so, plus more painful than ever. My diet has changed them almost back to normal. So, no telling what I would be going through now if I hadn't changed what I eat. :scared:
