there's another PETA thread in LBN. this one just got started two hours ago, i can't wait to see what it looks like later today! there's already the argument that if we didn't use wool, sheep would have no reason to exist!

I'll never understand why many liberals only have compassion for human rights issues.

2. Because it's convenient. |

Like someone said, if people felt comfortable with what they were doing, the wouldn't feel the need to attack those that were different. It's just easier to say "those people are crazy" without putting any thought into it than to say "well maybe they're right" and have to change your lifestyle.
It's like a Freeper to a lesser degree. A Freeper chooses the "me me me" approach because it is easiest. I don't believe that meat eaters are bad people or lazy or anything. I only have a problem with those that lash out at animal rights people because they have nothing better to offer.

Dialogue is good. If one person opens his/her mind to a compassionate diet/lifestyle, then that's a huge step. Let PETA be the black sheep (ahem...bad pun) or the whipping boy. They'd have it no other way...trust me.
We all tuned in at some point, for one reason or another.

I swear the anti's seem to purposely flame to lock those threads as heaven forbid we should educate.
Also, using Consumer Freedom to prove their outrageous Peta points is much like using the Swift Boat Vets to discuss Kerry's military career!
Shouldn't they know better!?! I understand not everybody likes Peta, or "gets them", but using industry propaganda is just so freeper.
