After a gravy recipe!
Edited on Tue Nov-23-04 12:14 AM by foreigncorrespondent
What I want is a recipe for a good Burgundy Wine gravy.

When I was a kid growing up, we used to be able to buy a packet of McCormick instant gravy which was Burgundy Wine flavor. That was my favorite gravy. Unfortunately they took it off the market about 10 years ago.

When I really think about it, I can still smell and taste this gravy.

Anyway, it is pretty common here in Australia to make a Sunday roast. Now I don't do it every Sunday anymore, but when I do make a roast, I would love to top it with Burgundy Wine Gravy.

Thanks everyone. :)

1. What would happen?

What would happen if you added wine to your gravy instead of water--would that give you something close to what you were looking for?

2. Yeah!
I thoguht about doing that when I make real gravy instead of instant gravy. I don't think it would work too well with instant gravy.

3. I do it all the time
I usually use half white wine and half water when making chicken gravy from a pack. Try it ---I think it would work.
