just brought home 40 lbs of fresh lamb, cut and wrapped... |
|
...and an additional 10 lbs or so of bones and bits from the three lambs a friend and I slaughtered last week. That means it's the annual "straighten out the freezer time." Good god, I think I could eat for two months without ever going to the store! I'm a big fan of buying wholesale and in bulk, so my freezer runneth over. I'll barely be able to stuff the lamb into it, and I'll have to make stock from ALL the bones this week. I figure I can reduce that to super concentrate and it won't take up too much room. Problem is, while straightening out the freezer, I found lamb stock from LAST summer that I still haven't used!

1. The pitfalls of large freezers ........ |
|
..... lost goodies!
I tried using a dry marker on that 21 cu ft freezer door to show what was in there. Good idea. Crappy execution!
Now that there's only two of us here, maybe we ought to just disconnect the freezer or give it away to a good home ......
