3. We do the seven fishes thing--sort of
I do a Zuppa de clams and mussels (two different ways-White and Red)
Dungeness Crab with aioli on the side
Lots and lots of Garlic Bread
And Pasta......of course.
And Salad--cause you gotta have the Caesar Salad.

I use to do a fried calamari and octopus combo--but this year I'm not gonna bother.

Dessert is usually just Christmas Cookies and Ice Cream -Depending on how many will be here I may make one of those Christmas Trees out of Cream Puffs and Caramel. They always go over well.

Tom & Jerry's for Adults
Hot Chocolate with A candy cane for kids and young at hearts.

6. We do a "sort of" also
We'll be serving calimari, aglia olio, fried smelts, cod, shrimp scampi and salad. Sometimes I make pieroghi for the two of us, myself and my son's fiance, who don't care for squid or anchovies. It's a lot of work but we try to hang on to at least a few family traditions.

13. Glogg...
1 bottle of burgundy wine
1 bottle of brandy
pint of vodka
about 6 or 7 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
one orange sliced
about 6 dates
handful of raisins
2 tablespoons of honey
I don't use almonds

Simmer a couple of hours..never let it come to a boil. Strain and serve hot. I have added Amaretto at the end to give it a little added flavor. It has a wonderful flavor but be warned it can make you stupid after a several mugs.

19. Crab and Leek Bisque
Very easy (I use canned crab), very rich and delicious. Might have a salad with it, maybe a popover on the side. I have a popover recipe that has a dab of meat in the bottom that's quite delicious and adds a little more protein to fill one up. A great accompaniment for soups, something with a little more class than grilled cheese.
