Why is it so difficult to get sweetbreads? I ask at our Price
Chopper and a local meat store(he says I have to order 25 lbs)...I don't want 25 lbs....

Anyone know how to get them?

1. I seem to recall there was some sort of prohibiton on variety meats
I'm going on my (often faulty) memory here, but I seem to recall back at about the time they were outlawing sunny side up eggs in restaurants they also outlawed variety meats.

I know that they are few and far between out here in PNW....but worth the trek if you want something special.

Look in your local yellow pages and give one a jingle. They'll let you know if they are available. I know I can get other organ meats so I would imagine it's possible to get sweetbreads. You just need to establish a connection with a source.
