ahhhh Envy Me!
I have in my possession not one, but TWO loaves of housewolf's home made bread

one is a standard sandwich loaf and one an artisan loaf!

I can't wait to try it with dinner tonight :bounce:

not to mention she was so kind and generous to give me a bag of yeast she didn't need. :loveya:

:hi:

8. That "artisan" loaf
was a very simple French Bread recipe. It was the first time I used that recipe and thought that it turned out pretty well. I'd like to slow it down so it develops more flavor but I wanted to do the recipe as it was the first time to see how it came out. I was pretty happy with it, especially with the texture. Hope you enjoy it.

7. What AzDem neglected to say...
was that I have in my hot little hands a slice of HER wonderful home-made bread to try too! (not to mention a bag full of ambrosial coffee beans that have been driving me to distraction all afternoon)

AND... I got to meet Mr. Ketchup! And an absolute sweetheart if I've ever met one... AzDem & Mr. K. are a charming couple and lucky beyond belief to have each other.

I have to say... I really think I got the better of this deal - lunch, bread, coffee, Mr. Ketchup....

AzDem's bread smells and looks great, I just got home and am ready to stick it into the toaster, can't wait any longer!

It was fun to meet and get together, I wish more of us lived close enough to get together.

Edited on Thu Jan-19-06 10:20 PM by wakemeupwhenitsover
I swear, if we ever to AZ I'll give you two a shout out & maybe we can meet.

:hi:

edited to add: the first margharita I ever tasted was in Yuma. I was maybe 12. I've never, ever had one anywhere near as good & I've always recalled AZ with fondness.
