I've been on an odd food kick
I've been on a total binge out the past few weeks with eggs. I think I've made them in one variation or another at least 3 times last week. We've had frittata's, quiche for dinner and omlettes for breakfast. I've even taken to keeping them hard boiled in the fridge to slice for salads. Growing up, I never cared for them much and remember complaining on Sunday mornings when Mom made them with the kishka (oh gag me already).

What food is everyone else ODing on?

(for wildeyed's kid: an ear worm)

1. banana bread and grape tomatoes with goat cheese.
Not in the same dish, of course, but I've been eating a lot of both. Especially the grape tomatoes and goat cheese, with the latter smeared on crusty bread or pita, and the tomatoes halved and the whole thing baked with some basil.

We eat egg substitute most of the time, so binging on it is kind of not appealing.

2. peanut butter
I go for long stretches where I don't eat any, and then I have weeks where I don't want anything else. Right now I feel like I could live on it.

4. I'm on a lemon binge
I must have lemon water to drink, lemon curd on my toast, lemon hard candies, lemon in my tea. If a lemon wedge comes as a garnish on my plate, I simply can't ignore it.

If it comes in lemon flavor, I WANT IT!!!

This started right before xmas and hasn't let up yet.

day. any excess your body doesn't use immediately is excreted

if you are fighting a virus or under unusual stress, if you smoke or drink all these things burn up Vit C

about 500mg 4 times a day would probably do the trick ( I love chewables, easy to take anywhere)

8. Sounds like me when I was getting my taste buds back.
For 5 straight days I was making everything lemon I could think of.
What finally hit the spot was a lemon meringue pie.
It's the new chocolate.:D

The Myers lemon is covered with fruit. Do you make your own or buy it?

This is the first year it's made so many lemons I can't use them all in tea. I plan to make some curd soon.

9. Fried egg on toast
Lately, my favorite lunch is to toast a slice of Carl Griffiths' Alaskan sourdough bread, butter it, and top it with a sunny-side up egg. Then cut into the egg and let the yolk slobber all over the bread. Eat with a fork and knife. Also, cook in a pot on the top of the stove Orville Redenbacher's popcorn with melted butter.

When summer comes around and I have fresh veggies from the garden, I'll binge on them, which will be a lot better for me. (My cholesterol count is good, though. :))
