of the Sunday NYT about the guy in Italy who just published a study about aspartame and cancer in rats.
Hold onto your tin foil hat, because Donald Rumsfeld was one of the execs at Searle who helped get it approved by the FDA.

3. Check the Health forum for links, but be aware that those of us

who work in standard medicine often want to change the title to the Quack Forum. Be aware that sometimes the articles are old and have since been contradicted by legitimate research or are highly speculative, tinfoil beanie stuff. In other words, there's a lot of chaff before you find a grain of truth.

Just Google "Aspartame Rumsfeld" for the political nastiness behind that one.
