Use up those potatoes and mushrooms before they spoil |
|
into mushroom sheperd's pie. :9 It's now one of my staples because potatoes are cheap and portabella mushrooms often go on sale right before their expiration date.
It ain't fast, but it's easy--relatively.

2. Tell us how you make that Shepherd's Pie. |
|
I don't make it often, but when I do, it's like vegetable soup without the soup stock. In other words, it's usually "clean out the refrigerator" time.

Sometimes I buy the mashed potatoes, they have them next to the eggs at my grocery store, and just make the filling from scratch.

cube potatoes (smallish cubes) sliced onion..thin slices, quartered
heat olive oil
brown potatoes & onions
sprinkle generously with Salad Supreme..
Don't put in a bowl before the rest of your dinner's ready, or there won't be enough to serve
