It's not hot until you cry.
That's my approach to hot, spicy food (and bless my poor husband, who likes hot food, but is allergic to capsaicin). I go through spells where I just can't get enough, and can't get it hot enough. Currently, I'm craving jerk chicken, but am out of the world's only acceptable jerk seasoning:

I'm off to spend my lunch hour searching for replenishment. Multiple jars, if I can find them.

Wish me luck; until then, I'll make do with buffalo wings.

1. I'm not the crying type, but it's not hot enough unless
it makes my upper eyelids sweat.

2. I have a friend who makes what he calls
Duck Seasoning. He grows his own chilies down there in the Keys, and he routinely sends me jars of the stuff, which usually causes body parts to explode and fly off. Fortunately, it's always molting season here.

I wish I could share it with you. I suspect you'd love it.

Yum. Yum, yum. (and I love the name he gives it)

5. I used to eat food as hot as I could get it
But since I've gotten nasal allergies, it makes my nose run. I can't bring myself to blow my nose at the table (unless I'm alone at home), and getting up every few minutes is embarrassing. (The staff at a Vietnamese restaurant got very worried about all my bathroom trips once.) So, now I limit the hotness of my food when I'm out in public.

9. I love hot and spicy foods, but as I have gotten
older, it plays havoc with my intestines. But I still eat it and suffer later.
