I made the most amazing Mac and Cheese |
|
I was out of elbow macaroni so I used wide egg noodles, and I needed to use up some smoked gruyere.
Basically, I boiled the noodles until done. Made a white sauce (with added garlic and a dash of tabasco). Layered the noodles, then grated smoked gruyere and sharp cheddar (about 2/3 gruyere, 1/3 cheddar) then another layer of noodels and cheese. Poured on white sauce using a fork to make sure it distributed and baked.
Oh. My. God.

1. Smoked cheese in the mix is a good. |
|
It's like adding a little bacon in terms of flavoring. Hey, it's time for my annual pan of mac and cheese, now that you mention it.

4. I just saw an article about "suggestions" for Super Bowl food |
|
I don't even watch football, but this caught my eye...
"Deep-fried Mac & Cheese".
My initial reaction is "gross" but I don't know... anyone here ever had it?
