Need a couple stock salad dressing recipes. |
|
I gave up gross bottled dressing a while ago but the family still likes them, is there a website or does anybody have recipes that are like the name brand Hidden Valley Ranch and Wishbone Italian?
Not any of the "new" variants, just the old stand-bys.
Thanks in advance.

We always had vinegar and oil, with a little seasoning, when I was growing up and I still like it that way best. :hi:

3. Good question - I'm a lifelong Wishbone Italian junkie |
|
I've tried to kick the habit, but it's just too ingrained. I'm thinking it might be hard to make, with all those little bits of "stuff" (onion, red bell pepper, whatever)

|
4 tablespoons dry parsley flakes 1 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons onion salt 1 quart mayonnaise 1 pint sour cream 1 teaspoon garlic salt 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons MSG or Accent brand (optional) 1 pint buttermilk
It's supposed to taste like Hidden Valley

6. Balsamic vinegar and honey |
|
My friend's recipe. Equal amounts of balsamic vinegar and honey. Mix well. You might need to tinker with this a bit if it doesn't taste right to you. Maybe add a bit of salt, pepper or lemon juice. I like it with a tad more vinegar than honey. Otherwise, it's easy and tastes great!
