Chocolate chip cookies
I wanted to try mixing cookie dough in the processor and have some of these in the oven. They're so good and the processor made it very easy to mix heavy dough.

I substituted white sugar for brown and added molasses as "randr" advised here in the forumn. I think I like the molasses/white sugar combo better than the brown sugar.

Butter Flavored Crisco Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients:
3/4 c Butter flavored Crisco
1 1/4 c Firmly packed brown sugar
2 tb Milk
1 tb Vanilla
Egg
1 3/4 c All-purpose flour
1 t Salt
3/4 ts Baking soda
1 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c Pecan pieces

Directions:
Heat oven to 375. Cream butter flavor crisco, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in large bowl. Blend until creamy. Blend in egg. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture, gradually. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop rounded Tablespoonfuls (about 2 measuring tablespoons) of dough 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies (they will look light and moist) DO NOT OVERBAKE or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes. Remove to coo rack. 3 dozecn 3-inch cookies. Note: if nuts are omitted, use 1-1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.

1. Eleny you're having fun with your food processor!
I have discovered one substitution in my chocolate chip recipe..I substitute up to 3/4 cup of oat flour to replace some of the wheat flour in the recipe. It works OK in the food processor, it makes a nutty, chewier tasting cookie.

And yes, you can take oatmeal in small batches and turn it into flour in your food processor (another tip!!)

2. Oatmeal sounds like it adds a nice texture
We always keep oatmeal on hand. The 5 minute kind. I can whip up some into flour, then chop the nuts and then make the dough. I'll have the machine smoking!

I appreciate this tip. Thanks for posting. I'll make it your way for the next batch and post about it!

3. I also like adding a little coffe to my choc chip cookies....
I dissolve a heaping Tbsp of instant coffee in a tsp of water. I love the extra dimension of flavor this adds.
