1. Expect it to take a little more muscle than he's using
but $19.95 for a mandoline is great, even if it breaks within 6 months or so.

Half the time I use the $5.95 slicer I got at the local Chinese grocery instead of breaking out the big mandoline, but that's just me.

Just don't forget to use that holder unless you want an interesting scar.

2. I had a plastic mandolin and it worked fine. The V blade on this one
looks interesting.

Anyway, I liked the $20 version so much I bought the more expensive variety and use it often enough to justify it.

3. Those things actually do work
Unlike most things advertised on late-night TV. If you don't want to pay shipping, I think I remember seeing them at Target.

4. My 15 month old grandson appears to mesmerized by Billy's voice. Whenever one of
his commercials comes on, he will even come in from another room so he can watch.

6. LOL. When my daughter in law told me about this she referred to him as
the guy that yells all the time. I knew who she was talking about immediately.

I want it. I must have it.

LOL. Seriously, though, looks good to me. Yet not buying. I still try and do the good chef thing with a sharp knife and my fingers recurved.

13. I would tempted but I got a cheap similar mandoline at...
K-Mart last year and it's close to worthless. 10 bucks, and 5 of that was for that Martha person to put her name on it.

It sorta works on a lot of things, but just isn't sharp enough to replace the knife or the slicing blade on the food processor, 'specially with things like potatos. Which really pissed me off because making chips was one reason I got it.

And using that "handle" leaves huge chunks of stuff unsliced, so it's a real PITA with thin things like carrots.

they had one in a box for a couple of bucks.
If you like, when I go through there tomorrow I will see if it is still there and send it to you?
