2 tsp Jalapeno Jelly 2 tsp Honey 2 tsp Lime Juice 1 tsp HOT Russian mustard 1 tsp Sweet/Hot dijon mustard 3 drops of tabasco
3 large green onions chopped 2 Chicken bone in thigh/leg combo
heat oven to 350, mix first 6 ingredients in a bowl until well blended, put chicken in baking pan and top with jelly mix and top with green onion
bake about an hour and baste a few times
I'm gonna serve it with rice pilaf and the new greens from my garden in a salad

|
more sweet with the jelly and the honey

I have some jalapeño jelly in the fridge but never thought of putting it on chicken. Do tell how it goes.

I think I'd add a bit more honey, though, to get a better glaze on the chickens. I make a honey/mustard meatloaf that has a baste of simply a 1:1 mix of honey and dijon (and some onion powder and garlic). The honey ends up carmelizing into a nice mustardy crust. With the lime juice in there, it's probably going to be a little thinner. Just a thought.
Let us know how it comes out! I don't think I've ever added pepper-heat to the honey/mustard flavor.

8. it thickened up nicely and glazed beautifully |
|
and not too spicy at all. it would have been way too sweet without the extra tabasco and the lime juice
