How do you do meat lasagna?
I've only ever done the meatless version from The Moosewood Cookbook, dozens of times. I'm having a friend over for dinner tomorrow and want to do a meat lasagna.

Recipes welcome! :hi:

2. I've always had good luck with the recipe on the box. :-)
Although I use ground turkey instead of beef. Try whole wheat lasagna noodles, they're delicious.

3. Lasagna's just an assembly job
and IMO the easiest and tastiest meat lasagna use spicy Italian sausage crumbled and fried and then mixed with the sauce. Then just assemble as usual.

4. My Italian cooking mentor said to always use little meatballs
She made them with ground beef/veal combo. Her lasagna was wonderful

I've made lasagna using combos of sausage (both hot and sweet) and beef just ground browned and added to the sauce. Also very good but different.

I've also made white lasagna with ground white turkey, spinach and bechemel. Very lovely.

I don't think you can go wrong what ever you choose. Try the little meatballs someday. They give a different bite to the texture of the lasagna.

6. I use little meatballs and cut them in half
I have some who don't like meat in theirs so the meatballs are easy to eat around.

5. Yes, the key
is whatever meat you use, brown it first and then add to the layers or in the sauce, if you prefer.

Italian sausage is a good suggestion. :9

Oh and the no cook lasagna works really well too.
