1. Looks like some heavy-duty cleaning is in order |
|
Check out the interiors. Are these copper-clad on the outside, or pure copper?
Write and ask for better photos of the interiors.

I know it's not a great pic but I just wanted to know if it was worth pursuing. They also have these: http://tulsa.craigslist.org/hsh/751062263.htmlBut I'm thinking this is a little over-priced for used. It's not much less than new pieces at Target.

7. Don't underestimate a used cast-iron pot |
|
If it IS well-seasoned, it could be better than a new one. Of course, you don't know how well seasoned they are.
But these are the kind you'd hang in the fireplace or over a campfire. I guess you could use them anywhere, but that's what they're made for. Is that how you'd use them?
Actually, even just for decoration they might be worth it if you get all six - consider $20 each, and maybe you could offer $100. I'm thinking, though, that you'd have to pick them up locally - shipping costs on those things would probably equal the cost of the items themselves.

Altho the copper is now gone, as Stinky pointed out.
The cast iron would be good for use in our solar oven was what I was thinking.

9. Yeah, I saw they were gone |
|
for your solar oven? Probably perfect, if you can inspect them and make sure they're really seasoned and not just rusted inside. Could offer a little less ($95 to $100) but I think they're probably worth what they're asking if what they say is true.
