empress - the pulled pork turned out great!
I made it in the stovetop pressure cooker. Since we're at high altitude I added three cups of water in addition to the cup or so of picante sauce and the shoulder needed a total of 90 minutes to achieve the 'falling off the bone' stage.

Hubby asked me to add a small can of hot jalapenos and it wasn't too hot.

I used the swiss cheese on the sandwiches, made slaw on the side and the pickles are the perfect touch. Thanks, it's our new favorite for a hot sandwich!

out of 3!

1. I'm so glad you enjoyed it
I made about 20 sandwich sized baggies that I stuffed in the freezer this past winter when I scored the pork shoulder for 89 cents a lb. I caught the old man ruffling through the bottom of the freezer looking for one last baggie the other day. I guess it's time to make another batch or two.

Next time try it with boneless chicken breast and add some cheese or fat free sour cream at the end. Yumm.

2. Making freezer packs is a good idea
It's just the two of us and shoulders are always large. I'm going to break ours up today and do just that.

Chicken breast - a nice change on a good idea. I'm always looking to try something different. As much as we like the old standards it's boring for the cook. Thanks for this one.
