Tongue-gasmic!
Chocolate Sorbet! Where have you been all my life?

Stinky planted the seed when he talked about strawberry sorbet. But Mr.sazemisery has diverticulitis and doesn't tolerate seeds very well. So I was surfing the intertubes and came up with this:

http://www.fitsugar.com/371153

I will never eat chocolate ice cream again. I used 70% cacao chocolate I picked up at Big Lots. Spanish chocolate - $1.80 for 3.5 ozs! The texture is velvety. You could use any kind of chocolate if you don't like it quite so intense.

Five stars for this one. Give it a try.

1. I can taste that just from reading the recipe!
Sparkly's our resident chochoholic. She orders the high cocoa level stuff online. Columbian, maybe? Like 88%. Whoa!

When I want chocolate, I want chocolate not chocolate flavored sugar. This will be going on my list of things to order. Thanks.:hi:

Edited to add:

I just read the product info on that and I see we enjoy two loves: intense chocolate and espresso. No wonder Stinky loves you!

3. I've had chocolate sorbet
and it bears absolutely no resemblance to that anemic crap they call chocolate ice cream.

Chocolate sorbet tastes like CHOCOLATE.

5. You are so right, Warpy
The conundrum is that sorbet is meant to "cleanse your palate" which is the last thing that this concoction does. Not that I'm complaining. :silly:

6. I do want to try this but
The chocolate ice cream made in my house is far from anemic. I do use a high cocoa percentage Calebaut and add 2 TBS. of powdered cocoa to boot. :9
