Soy Vay!
Dunno how long this stuff's been around here on the East Coast, but you Left Coaster's have been enjoying it for over 20 years.

Anyway, I saw a bottle of Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki on display and grabbed it just because the label was so cutesy. Wow! Exploding taste buds.

Then I saw a bottle of Hoisin Garlic Marinade, apparently the original recipe they sold, and it's absolutely the best marinade I've ever used for grilled chicken-- even beats Jerk, as if that's possible. It goes beautifully with the charcoal smoke.

Grilled some London broil marinated in this stuff and it came out fantastic. I usually don't bother with rubs and marinades for beef since it has enough flavor of its own, especially when grilled, but this stuff really perked it up.

Just made a sandwich from some leftover London broil and it's even better after lying around in the fridge for a day or so.

1. I loved to marinate
a salmon filet with it and some cilantro, then let it bubble away in the marinade in a cast iron skillet til flaky. You can do that on the stovetop or grill. It's been one of our favorite meals, served with some sweet potatoes or butternut squash, and some asparagus, broccoli or brussel sprouts. :9

2. That was one of my first discoveries here in NM
because I never saw it in Boston. It's the only bottled marinade I'll use.

It's that good.

3. I just re-read your messsage
and my reponse. It's the Veri Veri Teriaki we used to use, not the Hoisin Garlic. But I bet all of their products are awesome! :hi:
