Might Cosco have such a thing? I see a few on the Internet that will ship number 10 cans, but that must be a fortune.

1. I buy bugs of Black Cherries @ Kroger
I'm not sure how much sour you're looking for, they are somewhat sour.

3. Don't know where you can find frozen sour cherries, but
I've found canned tart cherries at Kroger. I have also found a place in Utah that sells freeze dried fruits. The strawberries and raspberries are delicious--much better than frozen. I think it's called Honeyville Grains, and is probably a company that supplies members of the LDS with their food storage supplies.

4. Do you have a Middle Eastern market near you?
They should have sour cherries in glass jars.

8. I saw jars of cherries at the international market...
...but (1) I'm really hoping for frozen and (2) I'm not sure these were sour cherries.

Thanks for the idea. I'll go back if I can't find frozen.

5. I get jars of sour cherries at my local Russian market, only $3.99
for a jar that's almost a quart. In the regular grocery store they either don't have them at all, or you have to buy the pre-made pie filling with them in it (GAG!!!!).

6. Wow, they're all over the place here in Wisconsin.
Maybe give the Wisconsin cherry growers a holler.

7. I've ordered dried cherries from Wiscosin growers
I reconstitute them by covering with water, bringing to a boil and then turning off the flame. They sit a bit and I pour off the water and use them in breads and cookies. I think they'd be great for pies as well.

Here's one place that looks very familiar to me. It might have been these guys where I bought a bag that was a couple of pounds.
