I've never seen such a beautiful crop.

I am thinking that the POM people might be the ones to thank for this. Many of the ones I bought had the POM sticker. They have been large and ripe and sweet and unblemished. My fingers are stained right this moment.

2. Are they US fruit?
We get a lot of South American fruit here in the MidAtlantic.

3. We get local ones here in New Mexico...
And they make yummy salads. But I have yet to find anything else to do with them. Any recipe suggestions, anyone?

curiously,

4. Good question. I saw them yesterday, tons of beautiful poms, but
don't know what to do with them.

5. Yeah, I have had some GORGEOUS ones this month. Pom brand.
I need to eat more of them while they are in season, I love them so much in spite of the minor hassle to eat them - they are REALLY good for you.

We can buy the pomegranate seeds in a plastic box in the produce section, too. Probably too pricey for me, but if you have a recipe that calls for them and don't want to pick them free from a whole one it's kinda nice.
