Who else puts almonds in their green beans? |
|
I think this is great. I actually market sliced almonds, and pearl onions with green beans.
Today I was out of sliced almonds, so I put out slivered almonds instead. I sold out in 2 hours.
My g.beans looked exceptionally good today, but I never sell out of almonds alongside. What are people doing with slivered almonds in November?

in steamed green beans with red pepper julienne strips, and a bit of italian herb over it all. It's nicely Italian - red white and green!

Mostly as a garnish. I cook the green beans in diced tomatoes, with salt and pepper and sometimes a piece of bacon.
I also toast the almonds lightly before I use them. In fact, this is one of our most popular veggies at the restaurant I work at.
