Bacon Explosion! (a plea for help and assistance)
So, I'm reading the New York Times on Tuesday when I come across this article about bacon.
I love bacon. I learned how to cure and smoke bacon and dream of someday owning a real meat slicer so I can slice mine as thin or thick as I want.
Any new way to cook or eat bacon is OK by me, I think. http://www.bbqaddicts.com/bacon-explosion.html">Here is the Bacon Explosion!

Mr.sazemisery loves to BBQ. He is the proud owner of 3 different cookers:
a Hasty Bake "oven" manufactured in Tulsa Oklahoma,

a Big Green Egg,

and a Bradley Smoker, an electric smoker he received as a Chirstmas gift from me so we could cold smoke.

When I showed him the Bacon Explosion, his eyes grew wide with wonder. You could see the gray matter in his brain getting excited. He couldn't wait to get on the phone to his best BBQ buddy to tell him all about it.

I could tell Bacon Explosion was in my future!?!
After Mr.sazemisery returned from replenishing supplies after the Ice Storm '09, I was astonished:wow: to find the ingredients for the aforementioned recipe had materialized in our refrigerator.
Mr.sazemisery couldn't wait until today to see how you basket-weave bacon, so the bacon has been woven and the sausage is on top awaiting the addition of the "cooked bacon" so it can be rolled up and cooked.

I post all of this so if you don't hear from me after Superbowl Sunday, please call the paramedics.

you are not required to eat it just because he is, right? Ya shouldn't oughta have showed it to him. Can't share everything with the hubs. Leads to trouble.

Have a good time today! :hi:

2. Is he going to cook it on the egg?
I also wanted to tell you that you're responsible for my getting an egg. You posted about your turkey after Thanksgiving in 2007 and I had never heard of them. I don't use it as much as some people do since it's just me but I love to use it for ribs and pulled pork.

5. No, the Hasty Bake
If you have not tried a steak on the BGE, you don't know what you are missing. I'm glad you like it.

6. Bacon Explosion review
It was beautiful, just like the picture. And the Grands Biscuits were perfect. I would have preferred breakfast sausage over Italian. Meat lovers will enjoy it. All in all, great football food. Not on my top 10 list.

7. We had a rare treat involving bacon this weekend.
We actually ate some! LOL I had some of Downing's Arkansas bacon in the freezer for a while and we actually had some yesterday morning.

Glad you survived the experiment. That'll learn you to be more discerning about what you share with him in the future.
