Breakfast for the week
Edited on Sun Feb-08-09 05:29 PM by hippywife
for the other half is in the oven:

The only lemons I had were Meyer lemons. A group of us in the coop went together and placed an order from this place: https://www.stxorganics.com/

Those lemons were as big as baseballs! Never seen even a regular lemon like them! We got the last of the season on them and it took awhile for them to arrive due to the ice storm last week and a screw up by UPS so they were getting soft. I took four of the six of them and squeezed them into a big glass gallon jug with four oranges and 3/4 c. sugar and filled the jug 3/4 of the way full of water. Best lemon/orangeade ever! :9

1. Meyer lemons are teh bomb! And I NEED those muffins.
I love lemon and poppy together.

I've been meaning to get some poppy seeds but I keep forgetting. I've been thinking about trying an
"everything" bagel topping on the Ain5.

2. Everything bagels are the house favorite.
I make them every once in a while. It isn't difficult, it's just topping them that gets really tedious. I use minced garlic and mince up some onion or shallots really, really tiny.

Usual protocol...email muffins? ;)

4. These turned out pretty good but
if you want sweet, they aren't. Might need to increase the sugar if you try this, or not.
