Mid-morning snack: what to cook? |
|
Hi all,
I've an upcoming project that I need to supply a mid-morning snack to, say 10:30. I need to cook something, and looked up coffeecakes and strudels, but nothing is catching my eye. It won't be able to be reheated, so that needs to be taken into account. Any ideas? Thanks!

1. What age group is this for? |
|
and what are the circumstances? standing or seated while eating? fork or hand?
Standing - one hand snack - no fork - with a beverage... how about a healthy cookie like oatmeal raisin?

5. They are all ones I've made |
|
and they are all good. Maybe you could even just make your favorite carrot cake recipe and bake it as muffins without the icing (less messy that way.)
Hope you can find something you like. :hi:

Just take a recipe that you like put it in muffin tins about 2/3 full and reduce the cooking time. I would probably use the cooking time and oven temp for that Autumn Muffin recipe as a guideline.

Adults; standing; quick snack.
Oatmeal raisin cookie - I was thinking cookies might be too sweet that early in the morning, but probably not. Thanks!
