Fresh outta the oven!
Haven't posted a Friday night pizza pic in a while.

Ain5 bread for the crust, olive oil instead of a sauce, finely shredded Gouda cheese on top of the oiled crust, thickly sliced sandwich pepperoni, marinated artichoke hearts, baby bella mushrooms, onions, sliced Greek Olives, banana pepper rings, finely shredded Fontina on top, sprinkled with basil and fennel seed.

This has become the Friday Favorite. It gets even better when the Ain5 has fermented for at least a week, if not two.

3. That is an awesome lookin' pizza! I am going to try
making one. I used to, years ago when the kids were little. It beat going out for pizza and was lots of fun having them (my son and his cousins)'decorate' it themselves.
Now it's just the Man and I and I think we'd enjoy a more sophisticated one like yours. It sounds and looks scrumptious.

I KNOW you enjoyed it.

4. One thing I've figured out
is that instead of just brushing the pan with olive oil, I also add some canola oil, too. Otherwise it sticks to the pan since the Ain5 is a wetter dough and contains no fat. Bake at 450 for about 20 mins. or so.

It really is the best tasting pizza I've ever made and I really hope you and your fella enjoy it as much as we do, sweetie.

7. thanks for the tips!
I really want to do something special and that would be it. We are now on opposite shifts for the first time ever in our married life and it sucks. I don't get to see him through the week at all except as I'm rolling out of bed at 4am or if I wake up when he's getting into bed at 1am. That and a few not great things going on right now are making me feel the need to 'feed' him ... it's a comfort thing y'know? Hard to explain.

I appreciate your ideas and recipes.

I'm so sorry you guys are having a rough go of it right now. If there's any way I am able to help at all, please don't hesitate to ask.

I do understand the comfort thing and the need to feed.

I keep you in my good thoughts and hopes for things getting better for you soon.

12. I won't be baking again until probably late September. It's simply
too hot to be firing up the oven. Then I'd just have to run the AC to get my apartment tolerable again.....sigh.

Looks delicious.

The AC is running all day anyway, except when we turn it off during the night. Friday night pizza goes on!

It's gonna be one hella long summer.

17. We've been lucky so far, but I just KNOW if I get some bread dough rising and turn
on the oven, we're gonna spike into the 100's. I go into salad mode in the summer. Cooking much at all becomes unattractive to me.

18. If it were just me, I'd be the same as you.
But the hubband likes to eat and has to have his Friday night pizza. He did offer to take me to dinner but neither of us really enjoys eating in restaurants anymore and I love to cook so I really don't mind it at all.
