Hi, guys!
Back from a short visit to Quebec Province, to meet friends and their dogs. A 'related' friend prepared a great chicken dish, said she'd used 'Montreal Seasoning,' and I discovered its availability from McCormick, so I'll try to pick it up.

Here's a simple recipe. May be the same or not; she did say she'd used 'steak' seasoning, and she used thighs, not breasts.

1. For a while it had disappeared from stores here...
and I have a neighbor who swears by it. She was crushed when she could not find it. I found some for her once and then it reappeared just about everywhere. It's very peppery and good on just about anything.

3. Quebec, yum. Did you eat lots of poutin??
I have never been there or had it, but I don't get why people cringe at the thought. I think french fries and cheese and gravy would be the ultimate comfort food, lol.

5. In Quebec City?
Do you have any clue how great some of their restaurants are?

I could live out of restaurants there very happily for the rest of my life.

6. Quebec is famous for poutin (which I would probably try). But yes, I am
certain that they also have great French-derived food there, lol.

If is probably their version of NOLA when it comes to food.

8. Had a good time,
but didn't eat out at all; NOT in Quebec City, but small town near Vermont border, visiting friend with a family of Golden Retrievers. SO a bunch of dog lovers! And some good catered salads!

12. Of course, THEIR fries and cheese and 'gravy'
would be worlds different from what we'd find here, 'south' of the border!

4. You had a good time, huh?
I've used the Montreal Seasoning, and it's very nice. But I found something at Penzey's that I like a whole lot better (next time you're in Falls Church, check out their store): http://tinyurl.com/l2s2s8

Thighs are my favorite - white meat just doesn't do it for me.......................

10. Good to be away, and in the north country.
Family spent fair amount of time in Vermont, and I enjoyed driving thru. Hope to return and stop there in the reasonably foreseeable future.

Thighs DEFINITELY! (Don't mean to discriminate against breasts, of course; I have both!)

7. I love using Montreal Seasoning!
It's is awesome on steaks, but I've never tried it on chicken. I will have to now, thanks!

Perks up the old standard!
