1. There's a great big outlet mall there -
London Fog had a factory nearby, and they had their outlet store in that mall. We got some great buys on coats there.

It seems so far away from the city. That could be just my perception, though - I'm used to being within 20 minutes of everything.

But, I had friends who lived there a long time ago, when their kids were little, and they loved it. Kids grew up fine, and now my friends live in Savannah, which was always their dream.

Housing would be less expensive there, I assume, and you can probably get some really good deals on houses now.

So, why Hagerstown?

I'm so nosy..................

2. Its OK, Kiddo!
Got some ants in my pants, went to craigslist, and found apt. that looks nice on paper, so I'm exploring. Rental.

Its about 50 miles closer to Morgantown, WV (daughter's UNIV.) than is Silver Spring. I don't care particularly about being near DC (except for practical things). 'New life' maybe.

3. Hey, not bad -
that's very pretty country up there, and the proximity to W. Va. is great. We used to drive up that way in the autumn, on our way to PA. Gorgeous, lots of farmland.

Of course, it could all be townhouse developments by now, but I'd prefer to think of it the way I last saw it.

And closer to the kid is sweet, for sure......................

4. Would LOVE to show you the apt/bldg,
waiting to hear about making appointment to see it and don't want to jinx, but has features I really like. More later, I hope!

5. PM me when this develops -
you should live somewhere that you really love. Life is far too short to compromise.

That's such fun, looking for a new place when you're doing it as an option, without any kind of time pressure.

Have a ball, kiddo..
