You are gonna thank me for this...
Okay, I'm beginning to sound a bit like I'm hawking products, but you have absolutely GOT
to check this one out.

I admit I'm a HUGE fan of all things made by LUCINI because it's so darned fresh tasting.
Try the Rustic Tomato Basil Sauce and I think you might agree that you would be hard pressed to beat
it even if you are making pasta sauce from scratch. Amazing. Not only is it fresh, but I think they
must use tomatoes that are perfectly ripened.
So I'm perusing their website the other day and see that they've got some new products, one
of which is (be still my heart), Dark Cherry Balsamico vinegar. omg!

Today I heated some olive oil just long enough to saute several cloves of garlic. Let it cool a bit and added some of this balsamic vinegar and used it to marinate a skirt steak for several hours.
Then I threw it into a really hot cast iron skillet, added salt and pepper, and let it cook on both sides for a few minutes.
I like to make sauted red onions (cut in thin rings) in a similar way, so can imagine that this
balsamic would be great for that too.
I added the balsamic/oil marinade with some beef broth, flour and the drippings to make the best gravy I've ever had.

That dark cherry adds a whole 'nother dimension of flavor that deepens and enriches in ways you'll just have to taste to understand.
