Made an old-fashioned simple pot-roast tonight..... |
|
nothing fancy. Pot roast, carrots, onion, celery and potatos. A little bit of salt/pepper.....onion soup mix and a cuppa water. Put it all on low (350 degree oven) for a few hours and viola!!!!
Wow! Was it ever good!
:smacks lips:
I love the 'gourmet', but 'simple' is often "the best"....

2. Never had much luck with a veggies in a crockpot |
|
Less tender cuts of meat turn out GREAT. In my crockpot experience, vegetables turn into an almost inedible mush.
Short version: less tender meat in a crockpot
Vegetables (even root vegetables) were never meant for the crockpot.

5. My family just went home, stuffed to the gills with pot roast |
|
with carrots, onion, and potatoes. What a satisfying meal on a grey, rainy day.
