how long is fruit filling good for? (not canned the "fresher" kind in a bag) |
|
We got it last Christmas and husband is wondering if it might still be useable. Says sell by 2/09.
My vote would be "no."
Thanks!

2. I think the issue would be the quality of the fruit |
|
not that there would be any bacterial problems with it.
Thaw it out and see - if the fruit is discolored and dehydrated, it probably wouldn't be very good in whatever you intend to use it for. But if it still looks plump and the right color, try a piece. Use that as your guide.

3. Is it frozen fresh fruit? |
|
Coz I've never seen filling in a bag before, just in cans. If it is fresh fruit, I would think it would be past the point where the quality wouldn't be affected (effected? I can never keep that straight! LOL)
I would follow housewolf's advice to be on the safe side. :hi:
