2. I'm making a half recipe of Irish bread right now
and since I only measured flour and water, not anything else, it's going to be a real adventure to cut into.

3. Yep. It's SO much easier when ingredients are listed in weights
especially if they are gracious enough to give us the weight in grams. It's SO much easier to weigh out half of 6 ounces than to try to measure half of 3/4 cup. Not to mention so much more accurate. Of all the appliances in my kitchen, my ounce/grams electronic scale is way up there near the top. I use it daily for all kinds of things and find it often just as quick and easy to weight everything straight into a bowl or pan than to measure out ingredients into measuring cups. I live alone so I often make haalf-batches of things. I keep a chart of weights of all kinds of ingredients handy in the kitchen so if a recipe that I'm halving calls for 3 eggs, I can easily crack 2, whisk them lightly and then add just the amount I need into my bowl.

4. Chipotle Chocolate Chunk Brownie Bites

Penzey's Spices catalogue this month had the recipe... there's only 2 of us soooo

what's half of 3 T.?
3 eggs?
and half of 3/4 C.

It wasn't impossible - just a pain.. know what I mean?

oh, and I added walnuts and white chocolate chips, boy are these things ever good!

5. Sounds really good.
Could you have frozen them had you made the whole batch? :9

6. There was no telling how they'd turn out!
And they turned out quite *HOT*, but we had take-out Hunan Chicken
last night and after that, they were "just right". ;)
