1. Have you look at these. I know they work with linux because I used them
D-Link DWL-650, the SMC 2632W, and the Linksys WPC11

But thank you very much for taking the time to respond, MSgt. I appreciate it.

3. If you're able, get a card that uses the Texas Intruments Chipset...
...the reason I say that is because TI just licensed the Wireless Wrapper from Linuxant, and if you have a card with the TI Chipset, you don't have to pay for it. It makes setting up a wireless box in Linux so much easier. It also supports 802.11g, which is a big bonus.

6. I know the newest 802.11g Notebook Adapter (WPC54G)...
...uses the TI chipset, but if you go to the Linuxant website, there's a whole list of adapters they've tested and support. I also know people who use the NDIS wrapper (freeware version) successfully. Good luck.

5. Ah! D-Link DWL-G520 PCI works with Mandrake 10.1 & Suse 9.1
Didn't have to download any drivers or use Linuxant; it worked right out of the box. We got the UK version of the DWL-G520, not the G520+, but it looks like it should be the same as the US DWL-G520 at http://d-link.com/products/?pid=12

Thank you, MSgt213 & ALiberalSailor, for your help!
